Ivory Knight

Ivory Knight

Ivory Knight is a name which is becoming increasingly familiar to metal fans throughout the world. The Canadian metal quartet has shared the stage with many great acts including Sword and Blackstar (featuring John Ricci and Jacques Belanger of Exciter). In the summer of 2004, the band was selected out of many others to open for legendary metallers W.A.S.P! Unfortunately the show was cancelled at the last minute due to safety concerns.

The band was originally founded in 1988 by vocalist John Devadasan Perinbam and Paul Malek, who played drums on the legendary Annihilator demos. The band recorded a demo "Voices in Your Nightmare" which received excellent reviews from all over the world. Despite this early success, the band broke up in 1990 due to musical differences. Perinbam reformed the band in late 1999 with drummer George Nesrallah, bassist Steve Mercer, and guitarist Rob Gravelle.

In 2001, the band released a self-produced full-length CD called 'Up from the Ashes'. The CD again met with excellent reviews, and is still enjoying brisk sales! However, Perinbam himself had written most of the material even before the lineup was together. After several shows in support of Up from the Ashes, the band soon got back to the compositional drawing-board, this time working on a much more collaborative recording...

And now...

The result is Ivory Knight's new album, titled 'Unconscience'. The album, released in January 2005, was mixed and mastered by Annihilator mastermind Jeff Waters. Gyula Havancsak, also known for his work on Annihilator's 'All For You' album, created the CD artwork and layout.
